100% OYM Everyday (Japan Week 36)

January 18, 2015

This week was a lot of fun.

Last Monday night we had a big get together at a former investigators house with a bunch of former investigators and members. We all ate dinner together, played games, and at the end we shared a message with them.

On Tuesday we all transfered to Gokiso. We decided that it was too much work to take apart all of our bikes and send them to Gokiso so, we biked from Takabata to Gokiso. It only took us about an hour or so ๐Ÿ™‚ This is probably the only time I’ll get to bike to transfer.

Sister Papenfuss is training again this transfer. Since only one sister came in, sister Papenfuss needed a companion for a day. She came with us to Gokiso ๐Ÿ™‚ it was a lot of fun! During companion study she helped us practice talking to people on the street. It really helped a lot ๐Ÿ™‚

The Harada family is finally able to move back to Brazil! I was really happy and sad to see them go. I know that in Brazil they will be able to receive more medical care for their son, because they are natives. They gave us their contact information and want to be contacted by missionaries in Brazil ๐Ÿ™‚ They are so awesome, I know that they will be baptized soon!

We have been doing so much finding this week! We have been doing 100% OYM everyday. That means that we talk to every woman we see. We hadn’t found an investigator from that but through doing it and showing Heavenly Father our commitment to find those who will hear his message, Heavenly Father blessed us. We got a text last night from one of our former investigators telling us she wants to meet this week. We then got another text from an investigator and were able to set up an appointment with her later that day. It was really awesome to see how much Heavenly Father blesses us!

Love you all!

Love, sister Thompson

Notes From Aubree:

So two days ago I had to get new brakes for my bike because they were completely gone. Also I can see strings running all down my bike tire, they told me I needed new ones but I didn’t get them yet. I wanted to know what you thought. ( We of course told her to get new tires haha).

Today we are going shopping and going to eat Takoyaki.
