This week was really good 🙂
On Tuesday we decided to go eat katsu with the Elders. Then we heart attacked the members that live around there. It turned out that this was really where we needed to be. We were OYMing right by the restaurant when Konno shimai OYMed the Bishop’s wife! It was kind of funny but we have been wanting to build a better relationship with her. I believe that we were meant to meet with her that day.
On Saturday it was Valentines Day 🙂 We were able to do Valentines dendou 🙂 which means when we did streeting we gave a piece of chocolate to them after we talked. It was a lot of fun 🙂 It was really cool because everyone smiled after we did this. My thought was that even if they don’t accept the gospel now, they can see Christ’s love for them through this little act.
We also made a bunch of truffles and little chocolate squares to give to people in our ward and the elders in the district. Then the Elders gave us a sign with chocolate and kit kats.
Yesterday after church, we had just been planning to do a lot of finding. Then the Ward Mission Leader asked us all to come over for dinner 🙂 it was a lot of fun! They have two little kids and they are super cute 🙂 It was especially cute when they shared with us what they learned at church. The older sister told us that she learned about the gospel of Jesus Christ. The little boy told us that he had a snack at church. It was so cute 🙂
I’m really looking forward to getting to hear Elder Ballard speak this week 🙂 I’ll tell you about it next week!
Love you all!
Love, sister Thompson
Notes From Aubree:
They celebrate Valentines here, girls make chocolate and give it to boys.
The elders gave that to us, it is written on the bottom but it is in Japanese.
I got a birthday card from Grandma and Grandpa this week.
Aubree said that ice cream bar is called black thunder, and its very hard to find in Japan. It has chocolate of some sort on the inside.
